30? Holy Crap!

One reason so far why turning 30 soon might not be so bad:

My mom went gift-crazy and got me what I was asking family, etc, to chip in towards, thinking I'd have to save up until Christmas but now... what I've wanted for over a year!

In a way, I told myself I've been avoiding entering into the iPod race to-fill-subways-with-uncommunicative-head-
nodders on purpose, but really, all music in ONE place, ohshit, I'm a stooge.

So feel free to music me, my friends...

Or tell me other reasons why entering the next decade is FABuLOUS... c'mon, you have nearly a month to cheer me up... and reminding me that euthanasia is still illegal isn't sufficient.
Comments:
Why do you need cheering up, jo-girl??
Turning 30 is no reason to euthanize yourself or your potential for happiness.
No, no, silly.
Too many a woman dreads the journey out twenty-something "bliss' thinking that their youth is over and life is bound to become mundane, etc.

But if you ask me, (and thousands of woman would likely agree) turning 30, being thirty-something, is awsome in many ways!

I feel like I'm more comfortable with who I am, I know myself better than ever before, I have grown wiser but in many ways I feel younger than I have ever been.

I make mistakes still, but know how to recognize most of them and admit to them. I have a couple more close friends than before, and best of all...they say that women are in their sexual prime when their in their 30's (which can be really great or ridiculously frustrating depending)!!!

Yep, life in your 30's mostly rocks!
Besides, it's like I always say....the only alternative to getting older is being dead.

So, I wish you a very merry UN-BIRTHDAY!

my goodness, la', so valdez hasn't stripped you of your manic cheerfulness? doesn't it rain alot there?

i was kidding about the euthanasia... thought I'd get it out of the way before my sister said it. heh.

but you know, your most compelling argument: being dead / getting older / being dead / getting older... guess not too many options. jeesh, i'll go ahead and give in to the aging peer pressure.

isn't euthanasia legal in Oregon?...and Denmark?
what?
I'm just sayin'.......

my god, you're right:

Under Oregon’s law permitting physician-assisted suicide, the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) - has been helping 29 year olds avoid the aging process for over 8 years. As an addendum to the "pain and suffering" bill, the rider called the No-to-the-Next-Decade seemed to be very popular until the euthanasia patients get sloshed and realize just how damn scared of infinite parallel lines they are.
