who delighted in causing all kinds of trouble as well

"...point out that her cat is an adult cat, probably biting her to make her respect his manly catness, and then retreat like a trapdoor spider to my bed."

Oh my, oh my... Can I even tell you how incredible that part was? A-MAY-zing.

I think if a cluster of baby penguins collected somewhere along the lakeshore (rather than locked inside a glass-walled room of the Lincoln Park zoo), I might have been better able to bear the subzero weather this year. I would just go over to the lake, stroll over to one of them, put my arm around him/her, look up at the stars, maybe chat about their kids, and offer a Klondike bar or two.

You're not my new roommate are you, girlfriday? That would be really funny.

A few walruses flopping along sandy Michigan wouldn't be too bad either. I've always wanted to ask permission to touch the tusks. & Did you know that Eskimos have a special word for walrus dicks? It was my dad's former girlfriend's favorite word, which really makes sense.

I still think walruses are weird and worthy of a few Klondike bars though.
